🔄 Refills & Reorders, Explained

How refills work, what automatic refills do for you, what happens when your refills run out, and how to reorder in under a minute.

Refills vs. new prescriptions

When your prescriber writes a prescription, they usually authorize a certain number of refills. Each refill is one more fill of the same medication without needing a new prescription. When the refills run out (or the prescription expires), your prescriber has to authorize more — and we help coordinate that so you are not left waiting.

Automatic refills: never run out

With automatic refills, we track your supply and ship your next fill before you run out. You do not have to remember dates or call anyone — your medication simply arrives on time. You will get a notification before each shipment, so there are no surprises.

Requesting a refill yourself

Prefer to order manually? You can submit a refill request online in under a minute from our refill page. If your prescription is at another pharmacy, we will handle the transfer — just tell us your medication and current pharmacy, and we take care of the rest.

  • Returning patients can reorder directly from their patient portal.
  • If you are new to Pharmaneek, your prescriber can send prescriptions to us directly, just like any other pharmacy.

When refills run out

If your prescription has no refills left, we contact your prescriber to request a renewal. This usually resolves within a few business days, but prescriber response times vary — so it is best not to wait until your last few doses to reorder. If a renewal is taking longer than expected, call us and we will follow up.

Tips to avoid gaps in your medication

  • Turn on automatic refills for medications you take regularly.
  • Reorder when you have about a week of medication left, not on your last day.
  • Keep your address and phone number up to date so deliveries and notifications reach you.
  • Questions about a refill? Call (317) 293-1700 — we are happy to check the status for you.
A note about this guide: This information is general education, not personal medical advice. Your prescriber and pharmacist know your health history — always follow their instructions, and contact them before starting, stopping, or changing any medication. In a medical emergency, call 911.
